If you shift click a color in chrome developer tools it changes format. Perfect for finding the rgb-value for a color you want to add alpha transparency to, or finding the hex-value for a named color, like whitesmoke. No more switching format back and forth in the settings menu.
Just realized that my iOS devices rendered form elements with undesired styles, like rounded borders on buttons, inset shadow on text inputs etc. To get rid of them you need to put this in your stylesheet:
input { -webkit-appearance: none; }
Doing
pwd | pbcopy
will copy the newline as well, so the solution is either:
echo -n $(pwd) | pbcopy
or
pwd | tr -d '\n' | pbcopy
Very useful when using scp to copy files to/from a remote server.
alias pwdcopy='pwd | echo -n $(pwd) | pbcopy'
When using svn it is a pain to ignore tracked files, as far as I know you first have to remove the file, then add it to svn ignore and then re-add the file to svn.
Fortunately, today I was using git and the procedure was as simple as adding the file to .gitignore and then run:
git update-index --assume-unchanged <file>
In the “App Explorer” view there is an icon with two arrows, by clicking it and choose “Run Deply Wizard” it is possible to setup synchronization with a remove server via SFTP. It will then sync on save, which is not the case if you setup a connection in the “Project Explorer” view (works well if you sync manually).
In addition, Aptana Studio 3 automatically gives you access to git functionality when creating a project that uses the location of a current git directory.
