New York is among the states pushing for the more prominent implementation of clean energy and the environmental conservation that comes along with it, and Senate Bill S2758, which "Provides that one hundred percent of in-state sales of new passenger cars and trucks shall be zero-emissions by two thousand thirty-five, medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicles by two thousand forty-five and off-road vehicles and equipment by two thousand thirty-five." The Senate Bill is in limbo, awaiting further motion, but how will this play out and in what way will it affect our beloved ATVs and UTVs?

Polaris' Geared For Good program is a push to create a positive impact on those involved with the company (both directly and indirectly) while minimizing the environmental impact of the company's doings. It covers four items: Product (with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, safety, and environmental impact), Production (reducing the negative consequences brought about by its operations), Places (working to bring a positive impact on land and water), and People (focusing on safety in the workplace and on the trail). Some of these efforts overlap, like working on a 22-megawatt solar storage project in Texas, while others are directed purposefully at what buyers are looking for, like specific models and features.

Your ATV or Side-by-Side (SxS) represents a significant investment, and one that you will likely want to protect with some form of insurance policy. In fact, many banks will require some form of insurance to cover the machine if you have any form of loan out for buying it. But how do you get your ATV or SxS insured? It’s not as tricky as it may seem, nor is it going to be overly expensive in most cases.

Monimoto has announced the launch of its latest GPS tracker, the Monimoto 9, designed specifically for UTV and SxS owners. This new device, known for its dust and water-resistant features, aims to provide peace of mind to off-road enthusiasts by ensuring the safety and security of their vehicles.

Automotive designer Ian Callum and his team at Callum Designs first previewed their Skye four-by-four last November, and the company has finally unveiled what it will look like and be powered by in production trim. This high-end electric machine claims to have "sportscar performance" mated to "an exhilarating and rewarding driving experience both on- and off-road," the brand's website states. Regardless of how it's being driven, this is a gorgeous vehicle that will help usher in a new realm of bespoke off-roaders, allowing for a new level of luxury above what current UTV manufacturers offer even at their top levels.

The onX Adventure Forever Grant program helps outdoors initiatives on the fronts of land acquisition, protecting access routes, trail building, supporting private land access, restoring trails and riding areas, and helping to grow the community of stewards for the hobbies that onX backs. This program helps make the continued enjoyment of off-roading (and other outdoors activities) possible, and submissions for grants runs through midnight Mountain Time on May 17th, 2024.

Textron Specialized Vehicles is recalling certain Prowler Pro and Tracker 800SX utility vehicles (UTVs) from the 2022 and 2023 model years. This recall affects approximately 10,300 units in the United States and about 1,000 units in Canada. The primary issue is that the fuel tank cap does not fit correctly, leading to fuel leaks around the filler neck and posing a potential fire hazard. There have been 48 reports of fuel leakage around the cap, though no injuries have been reported to date.
