Classic Windows manufactures a premium line of aluminum clad wood windows and doors for residential and commercial uses. We specialize in new construction and replacement windows and patio doors. Located in Libertyville, our newly constructed showroom is open for appointments Monday-Friday from 9am-4:30pm. At Classic Windows, we are able to offer our architectural-grade products at competitive prices because we sell directly to you, the customer. National window brands, however, must sell their products to 1-3 middle-men/distributors before the product is ultimately shipped to you. That means there are 1-3 price mark-ups & more chances for mistakes on your order before it arrives at your job site! At Classic Windows, we ship our products directly from our manufacturing plant to your job site. This means that you get the best clad-wood windows and doors on the market at extremely competitive prices and the fastest, most reliable service. Guaranteed! Call us for a quote today!

Never got to the endpoint of reviewing them on their products. They failed, rather miserably, with their pre-sales follow-up and service.
I was referred to them by my architect. The sales guy, well knowing in advance that I am a homeowner, not a contractor, came out to our home and presented their products to me. During discussions, I discovered that they sell themselves as the "manufacturer" of the products, not a full-service stop, which would also include installation. Hence, I immediately tried cutting short the meeting because I didn't want to put myself in a situation where, in case of a product issue, I end up in the middle of both, a manufacturer and an unrelated installer, in a "he did, we did" conflict.
The sales guy, however, assured me that he may be able to refer me to some contractors who have experience installing their windows for their other customers. And from there, the infinite waiting began. I waited for them patiently, including leaving voicemails on their office number, on the sales guy's mobile number, sending texts and emails, etc. but no reply. I also left a voicemail for the owner, but he too never got back to me.
I am sure the owner will now find the time and opportunity to respond to this online grievance, but at this time, it may be too little, too late.
Inasmuch as I didn't want to go to a big brand company, and wanted to give this small company an opportunity, I guess they just blew it.
Again, if you are like me, who wants a 1-stop shop experience (material and labor included), I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. If truth be told, it is not worth getting into a situation where potentially, a supplier and an installer would blame each other, while you are stuck in the middle, with no end to resolution.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julie W.Chicago, IL13811Apr 21, 2020Updated review

We ask anyone who reads Julie's review to please take a look at her other reviews and judge for yourself if you believe what she is saying. This is clearly a pattern of delusional, irrational behavior. She has never spent $1 with Classic Windows and thinks that we should provide free service when her windows have been out of warranty for many years.
Jun 20, 2018Previous reviewHigh priced, low quality, horrible service, bad warrantee. Don't walk, RUN from Classic Windows! I am a licensed real estate agent, familiar with the major Northshore high-end home builders. To the best of my knowledgde, none use Classic Windows and with good reason. My own house is 14-years-old and unfortunately has Classic Windows. If you are thinking of installing their product, I will invite you over to see what they will look like in the future. Several of my windows had seal failures within 6-years apparently due to the faulty glass inserts Classic bought from another company. Despite this, I was charged high labor costs for replacing. I informed Tom of a seal failure in my office and asked if he would honor my warrantee if I waited beyond warrantee to have it replaced, so I could save on Classic's high trip charge by having multiple windows replaced at once. Also, it costs over $500 for movers to come twice to move the furniture away from and back under the window(s) to be replaced. Because I have several seal failures, I preferred to hold off on the high cost. He said he would honor it. When I called to have the windows replaced, Tom was nasty and refused to honor his promise, sighting an expired warrantee. Furthermore, he lied about a major error Classic Windows made during the initial installation of my French doors. The builder ordered and paid for a sliding screen, but Classic installed the wrong threshold and surrounding hardware, thus making it impossible to install the sliding screen without removing the doors, installing the correct threshold and reinstalling the doors. I have my house's inventory list (builder provided) as well as the sliding screen that was left in my basement. Tom lied about the mistake, said the screen had been mistakenly left at my house, yeah right! The right and honest thing to do would have been to admit the obvious mistake, appologize, fix it and not charge. Also, Tom admitted that Classic Windows has major problems with seal failures due to faulty glass inserts they used, thus short warrantees (mine is only 10 years). He said all of my windows will need replacing, an astronomical expense. Therefore, I have shared my bad expreience with builders and homeowners to save them from getting ripped-off. My advice, buy high quality windows and glass doors from a large, reputable company like Pella, Anderson, etc.

Hi Kathy. What department are you trying to reach? There are multiple numbers and emails posted on our website and nobody has any messages from you. Is it possible you have the wrong Classic Windows since you're in San Francisco and we're in Chicago? We only serve the Chicagoland area. Thanks and have a nice day!

High quality product as represented. Great customer service from a friendly and truly expert staff. My experience was entirely different than the one low customer rating. The other low rating was from someone who never purchased their product? I replaced every window in my home and couldn't be happier.

Thank you so much for the kind words Michael! We're glad your window replacement went well and that you're loving your new Classic Windows. Please send us a couple pics if you get a chance. We really do try to go the extra distance to make our customers happy, but unfortunately we can't win them all. Now that you mention it, both of our negative reviews are from people who never purchased products from us. Haha. Things that make you go hmmmm. Have a great day Michael and thanks again!

I ordered custom windows from Classic Windows for my new construction. Windows were installed in 2014. I compared many top-notch brands available in the market and found that Classic windows products were equally good or better than the top brand products. Prices were very reasonable. I waited two winters after I moved in, to write a review about them. I made a service call during this time and they showed up on the next day and service was really good. The defect was due to a mistake in the installation by carpenters. But Classic windows fixed it. I would happily recommend Classic Windows to anyone for quality products and service.

Classic Windows is an outstanding company to work with. Not only do they provide an exceptional quality product their customer service is top notch.
Tom Davis at Classic Windows assisted us with every detail of our window selection process of our home building project. Tom guided us, the builder and architect through the process of selecting the best windows and doors for our home based on quality and design. Not only was Tom instrumental in educating us in the quality level of different windows he also helped us achieve our vision of how we wanted the windows to look. He offered samples, researched hardware and provided competitive pricing when compared to large national window companies.
Our doors and window's have been installed and they are meeting every expectation we have. We would highly recommend Classic Windows to anyone who wants a high quality product, great customer service and competitive pricing.
I love that we chose to support our local Libertyville businesses by working with Classic Windows.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shannon S.Libertyville, IL01Jul 28, 2013

Tom was very easy to work with. It was great to support a local family owned libertyville business and to get a tour of the facility.
