We just got the Starvin Marvin and the Many Grilled Cheese. Both of these sandwiches were really good.
With a preference for the Many Grilled Cheese.
They don't have hot chocolate but freshly squeezed orange juice.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Mar 25, 2018
Mmm Sandwich's!
This tiny little shop is easily missed walking down avenue B so make sure to look out for it. They offer some unique sandwiches that are full of flavor and a twist on some favorites. When you walk in you will notice 2 window bar seats and a 5 person table so not great for groups and it does get packed since the staff is not very organized.
This place is most known for their sandwich called the whit. Which I would a breakfast sandwich for champions! It is packed with roast beef, bacon, eggs, Jalapeños, cilantro and is huge. When I got It was extremely warm and greasy but after the first you taste the freshness and flavor explosion. Those jalapeños are really hot and will make you sweat! I will deff be back for this. I also got the Mexican Cubano which is your typical Cuban but with avocado and roast beef in there which is really good and as you would expect a Cuban. I always pair these with their coffee whether iced or hot they are very flavorful and strong.
In short:
- delicious Sandwich shop
- limited seating
- strong coffeeHelpful 11Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - 35988817Apr 19, 2021
I've grabbed lunch here a few times and thoroughly appreciate the super quick service and the solid food. Really enjoyed the Italian salad... I have to confess I used the remaining dressing and peppers and tomatoes to mix with some leftover cold pasta -- it made for a delicious pasta salad! Will be back I'm sure.

Any shop managed by someone who would hire the young girl working the window does not get my time.
She had trouble hearing my order while she was wearing headphones. Left food out of my order (didn't add the soup).
Didn't add chips to my order (noticed halfway down the block).
I imagine she gave no sh*ts because it was a snow day and she would rather be high at home than high at work.
Food is okay; tuna sandwich is very small. Better places to spend your money I. The neighborhoodHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tiffany C.New York, NY4881620Jun 27, 2021
Great meat and cheese shop with amazing sandwiches. They recently made an update and eliminated the beloved Smokey Joe. Please bring it back!

Was throwing a nice birthday picnic at Central park and came by here to grab our food for some charcuterie. Unfortunately, I didn't order 24 hours in advanced to get their platter, so I had to make a made to order board. They had lots of great options from cured meats, to all types of cheeses, and other options.
I'm writing this long after the picnic, so I can tell you which ones my guests really liked the most as well as some of my personal favorites:
Cheeses:
They have a lot of the soft and hard cheeses that you'd want. My faves were the Brie and the Mozzarellas.
Meats:
I also ordered ham, pancetta, and salami, all excellent. Cut perfectly and very fresh. Salami was definitely a crowd pleaser.
Dips:
Their red pepper dip was phenomenal. The hummus was creamy and tangy, but the attraction went to the red pepper dip. I barely had a chance to try it!
Other:
I got a Arugula avocado and almond salad. It was great, but no one wanted to touch it with all of the other great options out there. But definitely a nice healthy option. I also bought some crostinis, although they were a bit hard.
Great value for everything. I ordered a ton of food for a large group. It took about 30 minutes to prepare everything and was ready to go as soon as I came back. Great place, highly recommend. Super busy and popular as well with long lines.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Neivin M.Sunnyvale, CA1503412Oct 21, 2020
Got a few sandwiches and the chicken soup here. Food was mediocre, the soup was gritty and had fat collecting on top. It ruined my appetite.
The food is passable for the price you pay, but the service is horrendous. The cashier/staff are curt and clearly do not care about customers.
My sandwiches were given to me one by one, even though my order included 2 of them and a soup. I got each item piece by piece and was standing out there just waiting for the next item. What kind of service is that?
They said they had to heat up the soup, but in the meantime, the rest of food is getting cold. That makes no sense.
Instead of waiting for my whole order to be ready, and bagging it for me they took the most roundabout approach possible. I also waited nearly 30 mins for 2 sandwiches and some terrible soup.
If you value your time and money, go elsewhere.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 4, 2017
This has got to be one of my new favorite sandwich spots in the city! I find it hard to believe that I only just discovered this place. It is a small shop, but they have a good selection of specialty cheeses, dips, and crackers to fulfill all of your wine night needs. In addition, they have a fantastic assortment of hot and cold sandwiches and prepared pastas/salads, all of which are reasonably priced.
After much contemplation, I chose the triple decker turkey club. This is a fantastic choice if you want a healthier option with a little bit of indulgence (thick cut bacon..amirite??!?!). It is chock full of veggies, avocado, and turkey, but isn't as heavy as some of their other options. I was very impressed with the portions and how fresh all of the ingredients were. My only recommendation would be to go easy with the toasting - the bread was a little too charred for my liking.
The service is quick and friendly, which is always a plus. I overheard the employee helping some customers pick out cheeses and I'm glad to know that I'll have someone to turn to the next time I can't find that cheese with the name I can't pronounce. In terms of seating, there is a tiny table inside and a countertop available for in-store dining, but I'd really recommend just grabbing to-go.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jane L.Queens, NY1152715Sep 5, 2020
Got to the window ,cashier saw me but didn't attempt to remove the glass window to see what I wanted to order , proceeded to continue talking to her co worker both saw me and still didn't bother for a few mins until I stared at her . I had called for a pick up 10 mins prior . I ordered a "figgy piggy" you would think the piggy would be loaded with prosciutto but they put 2 slices and said bone apple teeth LOL Previous customers posted photos up of the "figgy piggy" sandwich and prosciutto was pretty loaded but not in my case .

Second what many others have said-- the people working here have a bad attitude.
I came in one day to buy sandwiches and drinks, a total of probably $30 including a nice tip. The food was fine if a little pricey, but then I went back in a minute later to buy a bag of chips ($2.50 or something like that) and the guy would not budge at all on the $5 card minimum.
Look, I get that there's a fee attached- maybe 25 or 50 cents, but come on. There's a difference between following rules just to follow them, and providing good service. Bodega guys are usually nicer and more understanding in that kind of situation. Forget these gentrified mediocre sandwiches.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
