Found Atkinsons on line when I needed to sell some sovereigns. I liked that they listed all sovereigns and what they would pay for them as most companies won't give you a price until you send them off. I sent by registered post and Atkinsons sent an email next day to say they'd received my package. Payment was in my bank within 24hrs. Would definately use Atkinsons again.

There are a good few companies out there who are offering to buy your unwanted gold/ coins, but after looking at the various reviews I decided on Atkinsons. I Sent the coins to them and next morning the items were delivered to them and within a few hours I was contacted with their valuation which I accepted and within 12hrs the agreed amount was in my account. Now that, in my eyes, takes some beating. Well done & thanks Atkinson for a great service, second to none!

The selling process was quick and easy, but why did I have to wait 3 days to receive the funds. Transfers of funds between banks now take only seconds, so Aktinsons are ripping customers off by charging £25-00 for same day transfers!

In respect of the three days for payment, due to the level of demand on our services selling back to us, you are one of several hundred transactions we are doing every week. The careful administration of such has meant that we are now paying clients as soon as possible, but this may be up to 3 working days for you to receive the transfer. At the time of your transaction and for the last several weeks since the rapid rise in gold prices, we have not been offering the same day payment or charging the fee.
The bank transfers you refer to may be quick, but they are not free to business clients of the major banks.

Excellent service yet again from my "go to" UK bullion dealer. Excellent prices and importantly first class customer service. Just purchased a further two `best value` full sovereigns which could be any monarchs head as per their advertisement, however I would like to thank your team for meeting my request for two early QEII heads which I know you did not have to do but once again this shows the great service this company has provided me (in my circumstances) over the last few years of purchasing gold bullion from them. I shall certainly be purchasing from them again and would highly recommend them if you have not purchased from them in the past. Very smooth process from purchase to point of delivery....

For CGT reasons, I wanted to convert some bullion into sovereigns. This couldn’t be done as a single transaction and I needed to sell the bullion and use the proceeds to buy sovereigns. Atkinsons were able to link these two transactions seamlessly, although I did have to speak to two departments. Everything was done quickly and satisfactorily and I received the sovereigns within 48 hours of them receiving my bullion. I was very impressed! Every member of staff I spoke with was brilliant, knowledgeable and professional.

Atkinson’s made trading in some Gold coins very easy with simple follow to do instructions. I sent my coins via the post office (fully insured) on a Saturday morning, Atkinson’s advised me by email on the Monday that they had received and that everything was in order and their payment was in my bank by the Tuesday- how good was that.

Fast & efficient service & they kept me informed on the sale of some gold coins.
The only negative was that on inspection of the coins they said one was damaged & therefore worth slightly less than the price on the website.
I thought they were in good condition prior to sending them but I am no expert.
I would use them again.

This was my first venture in buying bullion and the service was great, and the purchase was very easy to do. I've bought from another dealer since and Atkinsons seem that little bit slicker and cheaper! The live portfolio is a nice touch.

Extremely helpful staff
Advised of rate offered and procedure.
Received notification of packet received followed by text that goods were as agreed and followed by invoice and payment into bank by bacs payment
All of this was completed within two days.
Others were quoting five working days after accepting goods before payment in bank. Atkinsons service and attention to detail is first class and highly recommended for both purchasing and selling bullion coins
