I used to think the lone wind turbine in Methil was enormous.  Not any more!  It’s dwarfed by Samsung’s new prototype, which is set be the biggest in the world at almost 200m from base to tip.  That’s higher than most of the skyscrapers in London!!

Now, they SAY it’s a prototype for offshore…..but I can’t help thinking turbines of this size will be popping up onshore too before long.  Imagine living next to that!  So much for the advised minimum of 2km from residential houses.
