Welcome to The Villages Duplicate Bridge Club.  Our club is located in The Villages (Florida's Friendliest Hometown) which is in central Florida.  Our ACBL sanction number is #217489.  We are in District 9, Unit 128.

This is an invitational club so guest passes must be obtained for a guest to play.  All regular game fees are $3 per person for a resident and $5 per person for a guest.   We are a non-smoking club and adhere to the ACBL Zero Tolerance Policy.

Did you know there are district-wide year-long awards?  Both the Helen Shanbrom Ace of Clubs and the Mini-McKenney awards are presented each year.  While both are district wide, the Ace of Clubs only calculates black points when determining winners.  Congratulations to all race winners for 2023.  Villagers have large numbers in both the Helen Shanbrom Ace of Clubs and MiniMcKenney awards.  For year ending 2023 in his point bracket, Vernon Sikora ranked first!  A complete listing of winners:  2023 WINNERS.

 Game fee for the month of April is $4.   (except Thursday mornings <20 which is $3).

For all Swiss team games, only one pair needs to register for their team for the event.  If you are a single or a pair looking to play in a Team event send Goldie Nabatoff a note at nabatofr@bellsouth.net. Please include your email address; the system you play, how many master points you have and the date you are looking to play. Goldie will match you with others looking to play.

In 8 is enough game, sum of team's points must be <=8 based on the following masterpoint categories:
<500 mp = 1, 500-2000 mp = 2, >2000 = 3.  For example, a pair of 3's will have to play with a pair of 1's. A team of four 2's is OK.

RESERVATION SYSTEM ALERT!
please read

As the club offers multiple games on the same day a "quirk" within our reservation system is problematic.  When reserving 2 different games on the same exact day, the system will only allow you to reserve "forward."  This means if you already have a Nite game reservation but then pick up an afternoon game for the same day the system will not allow you to make an earlier reservation for the same day.  To reserve "backwards" you must first CANCEL your "later in the day reservation," make the "earlier in the day reservation," and then go back and re-make your "later in the day reservation."  (This quirk is outside the power of the club to remedy.)
