Make no mistake about it, the TX midsize 3-row crossover is one of the most important new products in Lexus history. Not since the RX (then RX 300) was introduced in 2003 has the luxury carmaker more directedly addressed a market segment in which it was not yet represented. 

In this special crossover episode of the Car Stuff Podcast, Tom rides along with Robert Colangelo of the Green Sense Show to experience Tesla's much-discussed and controversially marketed Full Self Driving (FSD) hands-free driving system.

Beginning with the 2029 model year, all new passenger vehicles will be required to be equipped with forward Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems. Though variations of the system are already found on an estimated 90 percent of new cars and trucks, the 2029 law establishes performance benchmarks and operational parameters for AEB.

The Blazer EV PPV is designed to pursue and overtake, and has the available power to do so. Offered only with dual-motor AWD, the electric Chevy police crossover boasts 498 horsepower and a claimed top speed of 130 mph. Chevrolet estimates the EV PPV will travel up to 273 miles on a full charge.
