We recognize the long and successful history of Bay State Scale in the commonwealth, along with the distinguished name of the Spatz family, and we can only guarantee we will do our best to meet that same level of excellence.
Worcester Scale Company is also a family-owned business, having been started by my father in 1948 out of a three-decker house in Worcester, MA. We grew through the years and currently feature a growing Service Department with seven full-time techs and technicians coming over from Bay State Scale. Your account will continue to be serviced by the techs you have become used to over the years, with the added benefit of assistance from Worcester Scale whenever needed. Worcester Scale is an ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration outfit and can provide accredited calibration certificates if required.
We are working on the transition as you read this letter, so please be patient with us as we work through some minor logistics situations concerning website integration, email addresses, and the main phone line being routed to our office in Worcester. If you have new product needs, we share an almost identical hardware footprint with Bay State Scale as we can offer you products from most of the same manufacturers, including, but not limited to, Avery Weigh-Tronix, Rice Lake, Setra, Ohaus, A&D, Adam, and Brecknell.
This transaction will make us one of New England’s larger independent-scale distributors, but we will retain our family-owned, small-business acumen.
