Recognised globally as one of the best wall dives in the world, the Great White Wall is a stunning example why Fiji is often called the “Soft Coral Capital of the World”. Divers start the dive dropping down a large swim-through decorated with colourful soft corals, sponges and sea fans. Schools of soldierfish, squirrelfish, sweepers and cardinalfish habit the steep tunnel and lionfish can sometimes be seen hovering upside down on the ceiling of the swim-through. After exiting the swim-through at 25m, the wall is revealed on your left. Dropping down to the depths, the wall is covered with gorgeous “Dendronephthya” soft corals in shades of pale pink and yellow which, in deeper depths, create the effect of a completely “White Wall”. Looking at the wall from further away, you can enjoy the sheer size of the wall and the abundance of the blooming soft corals, buzzing with small fish species, creating a stunning seascape. Further down the wall divers can enter a second smaller swim-through, coming out on top of the reef next to several smaller coral heads, all covered in vibrant soft corals as well. Take your time to finish the dive on the shallow reef top, looking for scorpionfish, moray eels and enjoying the sight of bluefin trevally hunting amongst the smaller fish species.

This dive site has to be dived at slack low tide for optimal conditions. Please see our schedule for diving the Great White Wall.
