About SERC
Fostering over 40 years of energy research, Dalarna University has established a new interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to energy. The mission of SERC is to promote interdisciplinary research in the field of energy and support industry and public stakeholders to successfully accomplish a sustainable and inclusive energy transition.
The centre incorporates research from the different research fields, including Energy and Built Environment, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Economy, and Social Sciences.
The acronym for the new research centre, SERC, was chosen as a tribute to the legacy of the Solar Energy Research Centre, our original research centre dedicated to solar energy, established in 1984.
