LPKF produces two types of stretching frames; mechanical - ZelFlex QR - and pneumatic - ZelFlex Z4P and ZelFlex Protect. With ZelFlex frames glues and lacquers are not required. Direct clamping of SMT stencils is possible because of patented perforation. LPKF permits all purchasers of ZelFlex frames to reproduce our patented perforation royalty free. All frames are reusable, what is the real bonus when multiple projects are required.
ZelFlex Z4P
LPKF pneumatic stretching frames provide perfect, uniform and constant tension across the entire stencil due to its unique patented system of stretching with compressed air. A patented perforation guarantees quick, direct and repetitive clamping of SMT metal stencils. ZelFlex Z4P is 33 mm (1.3˝) thick frame, produced in different dimensions to fit to most available printers. For high volume users the frames represent a significant saving in stencil costs.
ZelFlex Z4P Slim is a thinner pneumatic stretching frame with all the benefits of the ZelFlex Z4P. The Slim version with its height of 25 mm (1˝) and reduced weight fits into smaller printers, particularly suitable for prototyping and small batch production.
ZelFlex Protect
This unique tension system maintains all the benefits of the ZelFlex system with additionally improved operator safety and stencil protection. Handling of the stencil is even easier than with standard pneumatic stretching frames, while all benefits remain. The ZelFlex pneumatic system guaranties the same level of stencil tension even after long periods of time. The height of the ZelFlex Protect is 25 mm (1˝) and features an increased working area. With adapters, it fits most SMT printers in the industry. Stencils can be also easily dismounted and washed - either separately or together with the sub-frame. A further benefit of the protective system is better protection of stencils and therefor their extended lifetime, but also much less storage requirements due to narrow protective sub-frame. With ZelFlex Protect frame users save up to 30 % compared to glued stencil frames.
ZelFlex QR
Mechanical stretching frames LPKF ZelFlex QR allow direct and quick clamping of milled polymer stencils as well as metal SMT stencils. LPKF ZelFlex QR is an advanced version of ZelFlex ZR with single movement stencil clamping mechanism. This double-sided stretching frame is especially suitable for small batch production and prototyping. A patented tension system provides the best and uniform tension over the whole range of double-sided stretching frames. The adjustable rear bar provides the possibility of clamping smaller and thinner templates. Mechanical stretching frames are available in different dimensions up to 584 mm (23").
