Our team work within the global cycling community, alongside their role at Pedalnorth simply to give something back, by sharing their own life-cycle with you.

We really want to help you to find your own cycling vacation location, with some of the best places to ride, on road or trail. Leading the way, with Robert, Nadezhda and our team are here to share their cycling knowledge and experience with you.

As we continue into 2024, we’ll be developing a new ‘Remote Rides’ section with Orbea U.K. head of marketing, Lee Williams, using his expertise as a former national mtb XC champion, to bring you the very best remote mountain bike routes around the U.K. and Europe. We believe that mapping information for cyclists should be free; which is why even our GPX files can be downloaded without any login required. WE want to help you all to find your next adventure.

There’s also lots of great travel ideas this year, as we develop our Bikecation section, with ideas for short cycling breaks all over Europe, on tarmac and trail, including lots more about about mountain biking in Transylvania with the team at Triada mtb series close to the World Heritage city of Sibiu, nestled in the Carpathian mountains. We want to become the best information website globally for this magical mountain biking region, as we build on the amazing work of Larisa in promoting Europe’s last great wilderness – transfixing Transylvania. Transylvania Adventures: TRIADA MTB 2024

We’ve got some epic news for you, direct from the Carpathian Mountains and former Olympic rider, Tudor Oprea, the head of TRIADA MTB, the largest and most successful mountain bike race series in Romania.

For 2024, the Triada mountain races will be developed to include 3 types of off-road racing and adventures: E-Bike (E-MTB), MTB XCO and Gravel Bikes! Yes, the 3 most popular bike styles on the tracks and trails will come together at the 3 TRIADA event weekends in April, June and September, to form the amazing ‘TRILOGY OF THE TRAILS’ festival 2024! A whole new and exciting off-road concept and gathering for adventure seekers.

The Carpathian Mountains of Romania are home to some of the most spectacular forests in the world, and were described by the U.K. Financial Times as ‘Europe’s last great wilderness.’ They were quite right in their assessment, with bears and all manner of nature’s creatures to be found in the wooded slopes of this beautiful area. And, with the medieval splendour of the city of Sibiu, nestled in the foothills, this World Heritage Site provides an magnificent base for travellers from around the world.

The international airport has direct flights from London, Munich and elsewhere, and Sibiu lies only 30 km from the historic mountain resort of Paltinis, where the second of the ‘Trilogy’ events will be held, in June 2024. Tudor Oprea and the team at Triada are busily working away at the festival plans, which will provide an awesome adventure for all off-road riders from around the globe – so join us and Tudor in Sibiu, in 2024 for the ‘Trilogy of the Trails’ in transfixing Transylvania!

As we head towards summer, there’s lots to do this year, and we’ll be working closely with our partner brands such as DS Pro, Camelbak, Orbea, Elite and Bike Box Alan. There’s a few races lined up for Nadezhda too, building on 2023 successes. We also want to build up our database of rides for you, in Northern Spain, Italy and Transylvania, and promoting great events such as the epic TRIADA off-road race series with Tudor Oprea – lots to come here, as we explore the Fagaras Mountains, Europe’s last great wilderness, and part of the awesome Carpathian’s.
