We believe you.

We operate by the motto β€œStart By Believing.” If you call for help, know that we’re on your team. Our goal is to pave the way for you to seek resources and pursue justice in the safest way possible.

Our approach is comprehensive, and we will give you the best and safest options to move forward. We provide 24-hour emergency shelter, transitional housing with subsidized rent, counseling for survivors and their children, case management and legal support, all free of charge.

Coming to SafeHaven does not require you to end your relationship. We know that leaving an abusive relationship is a process, and it typically takes a survivor six to nine tries before leaving is final.

We will be here with you every step of the way.

SAFEHAVEN NEWS + UPDATES

Carmen is building a safe  future.

Carmen came to SafeHaven seeking counseling for the mental and physical abuse she was experiencing from
her husband. After meeting with her counselor, we determined that Carmen and her children were in immediate danger at home and needed to come to emergency shelter.

Carmen made a plan, and the next day she and her five kids came to shelter with a duffle bag full of clothes
and medication. Carmen was determined to use every resource she could while at SafeHaven, and since then,

all of her children have participated in every support group, counseling session and camp we have held, and Carmen has been seeking a job to support her family.

Carmen worked hard to gain independence in shelter, and she and her five children are now ready to take the next step and move into an apartment with our Transitional Housing program.

Carmen and her kids are excited to have their own place and build a new future free from domestic violence.
