I absolutely love this app. It is insane how much you can customize... Going on 6 years. I have tried moving to other apps because you could customize the background with pictures, and live backgrounds, and you have a bunch of REACTIONS to choose from. The ones on here are very standard. No mad, sad, congrats. Just 👍👎‼️😂❤️. I didn't want to switch. Can we please add some more?

We use the iPhone reactions standard so we have interoperability with iPhones and also Messages by Google (which supports iPhone reactions). Thus we cannot simply add reactions as the receivers app won't know what they are. It's a protocol standard Apple devised and thus we are constrained by it's definition. Thanks Jennifer.

This was great until they did all the upgrades in March 2024. By introducing AI, Dictation no longer works properly and there are no emoji on the screen that I can find. 😞 2022:rThis is a great texting app except for when you want to do a text with multiple contacts. Very difficult to add and subtract people when you are on an ongoing chain if you originate the text. Otherwise good, With lots of options in the app.

The customizable feature on Textra is fun. I downloaded Textra when my regular messaging app quit working properly. I do have a problem with it, though. It doesn't go over the phone lines and I don't always have access to the Internet, like on a road trip or even when the power goes out. I had one other issue, but they texted me back immediately and helped me with it! That was awesome. Yay!

Kindly email help@textra.me for help on the above. Meanwhile, Textra SMS supports tapback reaction. Just tap (not long hold) a received message bubble, tap the emoji icon and choose the reaction to send. Easy! Thanks Christy.
