Notice :
Most of the hard drives inside JB-199 players are dual partitioned (C: and D: partitions). 
But if there is only one partition in your JB-199 hard drive, then the following Full Upgrade 
Version can not be used. Please go to http://cavsusa.com/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=17&id=223&artlang=en 
for the instruction on how to dual parition the hard drive first. 


1.Full Upgrade Instruction:

  1) Download the Full Upgrade Version (.zip) into your PC.
  2) Unzip the file in your PC.
  2) Copy and Paste the file to the root folder of a USB storage device.
  3) Connect a PC monitor, a mouse, and a keyboard to JB199 ( see Section: How To Connect in the User's Manual.)
  4) Power on the JB199. The TV screen and the PC monitor will show the initial welcome message.
  5) Press ALT-F4 on the keyboard. The PC screen will exit out to Windows Desktop.
  6) Connect the USB storage device to a USB connector in the back panel of JB199.
  7) Double click on the file in the USB storage.  The upgrade will begin.
  8) A pop-up window will appear showing the current version of JB199 program.  Click on "Upgrade" button at the
     upper right corner to start the installation. The old program along with its entire NJB99 folder will be backed 
     up automatically.
  9) In the process of upgrading, the program will check for various codecs in the JB-199 player, and if missing, install
     them. Here are the instructions on how to install the codecs if you are asked. 
     
     There are 4 codecs - Divx, Xvid, AC3Filter, FFDShow - to be installed if missing.
     
     For Divx:
              Select English - Press ok - Press Next - Select "No thanks.." - Press Next - Select "I accept .." - Press Next -
              Press Next - Select "Do not..." - Press Next/Install - Press Next - Press Close.
     
     For Xvid:
              Press Next - Select "I accept .." - Press Next - Press Next - Press Next - Press OK - Press Next - Press Next -
              Press Install - Press Finish.

     For Ac3Filter:
              Press Next - Press Install - Press Close.

     For FFDShow:
              Press Next - Press Next - Press Next - Press Next - Press Next - Press Next -Press Next - Press Install -
              Press - Finish.
 
 10) At the end of successful upgrade, you will see "JB-199 Program Upgrade Successful" message.
 11) Press OK and JB199 will automatically start.


2.Restore/Downgrade Instruction:

If the upgrade is not working out for your JB-199, you can restore the previous old version of the JB-199 program.

  1) Double click on the file in the USB storage device.
  2) Click on "Restore" button that is on the upper left corner.  Note that Restore" button will be disabled 
     if there is no previous old version saved.
  3) Check the current version of your JB199 program and select the Backup File that you wish to restore. 
  4) At the end of successful downgrade, you will see "JB-199 Program upgrade successful" message.
  5) Press OK and the JB199 will automatically start.
