Sticky Readers is a humorous, but helpful book about writing better blog posts. It explains the various ways to make your writing more engaging (i.e. less boring) so that a reader will “stick” around for the whole thing, rather than read the first paragraph, get bored and leave.
Rather than providing high-level general advice, the book uses detailed examples to better help explain each tip.
The book covers topics such as:
- How to hook the reader in from the beginning
- How to use details and specificity to engage the reader.
- Combating writer’s block.
- The top ten mistakes bloggers make that drive readers away.
Sticky Readers is not a book about English grammar, but a book about how to tell an engaging story.

Congratulations, good for you! Can’t wait to read your new book. I’ll miss your talk at Sacramento Connect later this month but look forward to hearing about it. Definitely sounds like a book worth purchasing for anyone who blogs.
Thank you, Lynn! Just an FYI, I’ll also be part of a panel discussion next week at News10. http://arden.news10.net/news/business/79584-register-now-news10s-free-breakfast-bloggers-august-17
I’m hoping there will be more seminars so maybe you can catch me at another time.
I hope you enjoy the book!
