The folks over at the Scottish Resource Centre are running a Free workshop for women in STEM thinking of starting a business. Details below:

Refreshments and buffet lunch will be provided.
Women are still under-represented in businesses within the SET sectors and yet we know that we, as women, have all the right skills to run successful businesses. Furthermore, some of the most exciting growth potential businesses emerge from those started in these sectors. This could be you – this workshop is designed for women considering setting up a business within the SET sectors.

· Would you like to return to a career in SET, but in a different way?
Don’t worry if you haven’t got a firm idea or are have just started of thinking about becoming self-employed – this workshop is for women at all stages and is designed to help with that thinking process and provide you with some inspiration.
This workshop, run in partnership with Business Gateway in Edinburgh, is led by Jackie Waring, one of the UK’s leading experts in women’s enterprise, herself an entrepreneur, Chair of Women’s Enterprise Scotland and Founder of Scotland’s first women’s business angel group
