History of Sirius

Sirius 2007

For you who would like a Swedish challenger in F3K. The model is mainly aimed for you with the ambition to compete in F3K but will also work perfectly for any thermal flying as well as for the slope.

Since end 2007 we are able to deliver a brand new HLG model developed and produced in Sweden.

Sirius is offered in three different configurations based on customer requirements, Basic, Premium and Heavy duty. The wing is a hollow moulded sandwich with an own developed airfoil and the tails are cut in sheet balsa. The fuselage nose will be offered in both carbon and Kevlar, in a while also in two different sizes for different servo positions (wing or fuselage).

Basic will have a wing with fibreglass skin, a light tailboom with stiffness corresponding to the wing and a standard sized vertical stabilizer. The overall weight will be about 260g.

Premium will have a reinforced wing i.e. to reduce the risk of aileron flutter, a premium tailboom with a standard sized vertical stabilizer. The overall weight will be about 275g.

Heavy duty will have an extra stiff wing with an all carbon skin, an premium tailboom and a larger vertical stabilizer. All this is to stand the high loads i.e. in strong wind. The overall weight will be about 300g.

Fuselage
The fuselage is full carbon with two M4 nuts for wing mounting. The nuts are fixed to the tailboom for maximum load transfer. The fuselage is designed for two servos but can hold four D47's.

It It has a basic canopy, fairing the wing and the connector for the wing servos. Below the wing there is space for ballast (80g lead).
