Starting to heat up

It’s starting to heat up! Unfortunately I’m not talking about my office, which still shows a dismal 2.9 degrees outside my window. I’m still wearing boots, two sweaters, and yep, long johns. (TMI?) No, I’m not talking about the weather, I’m talking about the Undead Pool tour! [ Am I coming near you? Here’s the list of cities. ]

Today I’ve got something really special to tell you about. It’s a joint, live conversation with me, Jeaniene Frost [Cat and Bones, anyone?] and our host, Gwen Reyes of Fresh Fiction. I’ve done a panel before with Jeaniene, and what struck me the most was our wildly different writing techniques–and yet we still get to the same place: a finished book, proving to me that there’s no wrong way to write a book other than to stop writing.

I’m looking forward to this already, and because we expect there to be a lot of interest, they’ve opened up the system already to get yourself registered and your machines talking. Just follow the link to sign up and get in on the conversation.

There is this little country called Australia. Why don’t authors ever come out

Hey Vampy! I had similar book delight this week. Two new books I put on reserve at the library came to me although I thought I was way down the list. Yes, one is the new Yellowrock!
Hey Jim, it’s always a good day when you don’t do yourself an injury. I invested in a gizmo that chops my almonds (to add protein to my porridge) so I’m not wielding a sharp knife with only one eye open in the morning. It’s crank-operated so of course I have to hum the jack-in-the-box tune.
Hey you guys in the midwest including Kim & Co: Brrr! So glad you have water available for the birds.

I am waiting impatiently for my new Jane Yellowrock to arrive. It was supposed to be here yesterday. Grrrr.

I’m sorta in a book heaven right now. I have the 2 new ones that I mentioned, I’m in the middle of the newest Dresden book and I finished off 2 other series that I’ve been reading.

Having a series end is kinda sad but I’d rather see them end before the author gets burned out on them/it.

Congrats on obtaining the new Yellowrock. I tried the library approach to reading. It didn’t work out. I always want to keep the books. 🙂

  6. I’m so excited that you’re coming to New Orleans. Yay! In other news, someone on twitter just posted a link to a site that is putting books up for free. I didn’t want to post on twitter and draw more attention to it, but I know you view your comments. Hope you can get them to take your books down.

I was hoping you were coming to Florida. I got to see you and Guy last year and it was awesome. You got to meet my chihuahua Frida…I drove a long way but this year it looks like I have to drive to Atlanta. I hope I can make it. Fingers and toes!

This is very exciting to me. SNOWGIRL is my favorite author after Kim(no nickname)Harrison. Jeanine is starting a tour this month. I plan on being at her first stop. It’s a six hour drive but it’s worth it to me.

I’d love to be at an event with both of you.
