A.Eberle

The REG-D/DA developed by A.Eberle GmbH of Germany are the most widely used tap changer controllers in New Zealand. Local lines companies implement these “one box” solutions for automatic voltage regulation and temperature control of their substation transformers.

LVRSys is used to correct voltage issues on 230/400 V distribution systems, which are becoming more prevalent in the distribution system due to the rapid uptake of imbedded solar generation and large peak loads such as fast electrical vehicle charging.

A.Eberle also have a range of power quality analysers for portable field use and models for permanent monitoring. This technology solves a number of issues that have frustrated users of test instrument style analysers for years.

Electro Industries/GaugeTech (EIG) specialises in power meters, power measurement & energy meters. Siemens

Siemens is one of the world’s leading suppliers of protection equipment for power systems.

In New Zealand, protection and control IED products from Siemens Energy Automation division are distributed by HV Power. These products not only include the SIPROTEC brand of numerical protection relays, but also the REYROLLE brand of relays and test blocks.

Around the world, almost one million SIPROTEC relays ensure first-class performance in generation and on transmission and distribution networks at all voltage levels.

For many years, Siemens has led the development of protection technology. In 1985, they were the first to manufacture a range of fully numerical relays with standardised communication interfaces – and more recently were the first to implement the IEC 61850 standard.

The SIPROTEC range of devices offers a solution for practically all protective relay applications. Their success is the result of a relationship between an innovative expert of protection relaying, and the market leader in easy to use automation - Siemens. Integration is not an issue with SIPROTEC devices, as they have proven in the field to be very flexible.

REYROLLE is a brand of Siemens protection relays (Siemens Protection Devices - SPD). Manufactured in the UK, the REYROLLE brand of numeric and auxiliary protection relays offers simple and versatile functionality. The range has support for DNP3, IEC 60870-5-103 and MODBUS RTU.

In 2019 HV Power also started offering RUGGEDCOM products into New Zealand. RUGGEDCOM a well known manufacturer of network switches and devices, is now a Siemens brand.

HV Power also distribute Siemens range of MV Switchgear including Ring Main Units, Reclosers, Circuit Breakers and other transmission/distribution equipment.
