DCAT’s primary program is called Building
Sustainability into the Codes in which we explore approaches
to creating a sustainable context for building codes, working with
national regulatory and green building organizations. Specific groups
served include:
- Building code groups and code officials
- Standards making organizations
- Green building organizations
- Construction and development community
- Public service organizations

- Referrals to human and technical resources on alternative
technologies, natural building, and code issues
- Consulting services on alternative building systems, such
as straw bale construction and on integrated design processes

methods for local, regional, state, and national building code
