Dacia Gallery: is a contemporary art gallery presenting museum quality solo and group exhibitions of established and emerging artists in the East Village of Manhattan. Since 2010, Dacia has gained extensive attention amongst collectors and art connoisseurs by mounting increasingly ambitious representational, landscape and abstract exhibitions, which have included notable artists: Noah Buchanan, Erin Anderson, Janet A. Cook, Max Ginsburg, Travis Little, Daniel Maidman, Christopher Pugliese and Patricia Watwood. Curator: Lee Vasu is an Artist, Curator and the Founder of Dacia Gallery in New York City. Born in Sibiu, Romania in 1979, he was inspired by the mosaics, frescos, and the mystical Icons of the Byzantine Churches of his native land. In 1990, Vasu moved to the United States with his family and continued to study art. He received a BA in History and Art from Kent Sate University and a Masters Degree in Arts Administration and Museum Science from the University of Akron, to further pursue his curatorial passion. Following his studies, Lee represented Romania and the United States at the European House of Arts and held his first solo exhibition at the Academy of Arts and Sciences in Bucharest. Additionally, Vasu participated in group and solo exhibitions in France, Germany, Slovenia, Romania and the United States, his work can be found in numerous public and private collections.
