Eben Sorkin Confirmed to teach in Seattle plus SPECIAL GUEST John Hudson
With the rate of signups so far, we’ve happy to announce that Eben Sorkin will be joining Thomas Phinney and Vernon Adams for the Crafting Type workshop in Seattle that is just 2 weeks away (9/19-21)
We are also thrilled to say that we will all be joined by a Special Guest Instructor, John Hudson.
John Hudson is a former vice-president of ATypI, the international typography association, and designer of numerous typefaces, including the Windows system font Constantia. He and his company Tiro Typeworks have created typefaces for Adobe, Apple, Microsoft, Linotype, and many other clients. He is known for his deep thinking on the art and craft of type design, and his expertise in global type design issues. John has personally designed typefaces for many writing systems, including Latin (English etc.), Greek, Cyrillic, Hebrew, Arabic, Burmese, Devanagari, Ethiopic, Gurmukhi, Javanese, Odia, Ogham, Sinhala, Telugu and Thai.
In 1998, John was recognized for Cyrillic and global type design by the Kyrillitsa typeface design competition, and awarded the Golden Buki prize.
