Jessica Alba’s Skinny Detox Smoothie

post featured image
I saw Jessica Alba on the Elle Show talking about her “go to” green smoothie. Jessica used it to help her shed her baby weight and said it’s great for detoxing. She loves to make it after a night of indulging on too many drinks. I mean look at this hot mamma, this is after two kids! Wow, talk about inspiration!

What you will need:
I didn’t really measure anything. I took large bunch of kale, several celery stalks, cucumber, fresh peeled ginger, whole apple, juice of a lemon, stevia, and about 3/4 cup of water. Place all in blender and blend on high.
The ginger and apple are key because they give it the sweetness. I added 2 packets of stevia, depending on how sweet you like your smoothie, you can add more if needed.
Ninja Blender is my favorite!
Here you have it! Bright and healthy! I love that the fact that Kale is a main ingredient. Kale is a superstar vegetable and a nutritional powerhouse. So it is nice to find a way to incorporate more in to your diet. Did you know Kale is…
-rich in anti-oxidants
-anti-inflammatory
-anti-cancerous
-high in fiber
-detoxifying
-rich in beta-carotenes
-rich in vitamins K, A, C, B6, Calcium, magnesium, copper, potassium, iron and phosphorus.
The second I took of drink of this smoothie I instantly felt more healthy. It is on the thicker side and I am not sure if I would want to drink this after a night of drinking but if it made me feel better, it’s worth trying. Try it out and let me know what you think! Do you have a favorite smoothie recipe? Do share!

  1. I’m not into smoothies, but I really in love with juicing! You can try it too, because that’s even easier and sometimes tastier than smoothie. You can start with you first juicier, choosing it here – article . You’ll never regret about it!

  2. This sounds absolutely fantastic, Anita! I have long been a fan of Carnation Instant Breakfast. It tastes great and actually has some nutrition. My fave was always the Chocolate Malt, which I can't find anymore. But now, I just want this smoothie!
