Prof. Dr. Ana Aslan
The history of Gerovital begins in the middle of the 20th century.
As a professor of internal medicine at the University of Bucharest, Ana Aslan founded in 1945, the National Institute of Gerontology and Geriatic Research that bears her name since 1992. It developed from 1946 to 1956 a revolutionary named after her gerontological therapy in which for the first time the use of procaine plays an essential role.
Ana Aslan - an internationally recognized scientist - has received numerous honors personal, eg In 1971 the Federal Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
She was on the board of the International Association of Gerontology and the Medical Society of the Balkans from 1980 and a full member of the Romanian Academy and served as editor of several gerontological journals.
In 1980 Ana Aslan invented a new geriatric product Aslavital, which was patented shortly after and which started the industrial production.
Research results showed that Gerovital H3 has a stimulating effect on the regeneration processes of the hepatic tissue, of gastric mucosa and bone marrow and that Gerovital H3 promotes and supports the physiological and morphological reconstruction of striated muscle tissue and peripheral nerves. The product also has prophylactic effects.
After the research work of Ana Aslan Gerovital H3 had became highly regarded worldwide, numerous celebrities got in touch with Ana Aslan and her institute, including Salvador Dali, Charles de Gaulle, Somerset Maugham, Indira Gandhi, General Franco, Miguel Asturias, Mao Zedong, Marlene Dietrich, Charlie Chaplin, Kirk Douglas, Claudia Cardinale, Aristotle Onassis, the Countess Swarovsky came to Romania to be subjected to the "miracle treatment" by Ana Aslan. Even John F. Kennedy - the former President of the United States had a direct correspondence with Ana Aslan and has even bought this product, the most famous product from Romania.
With the globalization of the cosmetics market and the consequent expansion of the product range, the Gerovital has evolved constantly.
