The British press is reporting that within the next four year Japanese automaker is set to develop the next generation Toyota MR2 and Toyota Supra, which will both be hybrid.
The 2013 Toyota MR2 is expected to feature a 1.5-litre petrol engine while the Toyota Supra, for which development was initially halted, is now being conceived side by side with the FT-86 which will most probably be launched in 2013 as well.
The 2013 Toyota Supra project might also be back on track due to the fact that Mazda, Nissan and Mitsubishi are also planning hybrid and electric sports cars.
