Registration - Camper Applications

Camp Triumph camps are programs specifically for a very large, but often forgotten population.  We bring together children and youth from across Canada who have a parent or sibling with a serious illness or disability. They get to experience a special haven where the daily stresses take a backseat and they are the focus for a change.

Camp Triumph Program Dates 2024

Session One (Leadership Camp): July 17 - 27
Session Two: July 21 - 27
Session Three: July 28 - August 3
Session Four (Leadership Camp): August 7 - 17
Session Five: August 10 - 17
Session Six: August 18 - 24

Sessions one and four are for leadership campers aged 14-16.

Camper Application

Through this process it’s most important that you carefully read everything in the application. Camp Triumph is a special opportunity for children who have an immediate family member with a chronic illness or disability. 2024 is our 20th year of providing camps.

There are limited spaces available for all camps, so please submit the application as soon as you decide to have your child attend. Campers will be placed according to when their completed and qualified applications are received and processed. Application forms must be complete, even if we already know your child.  We need current information and cannot refer to previous applications. All information shared is strictly confidential. If your child wants to attend the same camp as a friend, please apply early and indicate details on the form. 

Leadership Camp: The campers participating in the Leadership camp have four days with the small group and then overlap with the full camp for the remainder of time. It was developed to allow interested returning campers, who are 14-16 years old, to develop valuable leadership skills. These campers will participate in all camp activities as campers and positive role-models for other campers. They're NOT staff or staff in training. If your child is interested in leadership camp, please indicate this on your application and have the camper fill out the leadership essay questions. We are not able to accept all youth who apply for the leadership program.

Once your application is submitted to Camp Triumph, including the holding deposit, (a place holder, not a fee) we will process your application and then you will be notified the session in which your camper was placed. The placement is based on the preferences you indicate and available space. The holding deposit ensures your camper’s spot at camp. If your child does not attend camp, after being accepted, placed in a week, and confirmed, then the $100 will not be returned (You can select from several options on the application - please read them carefully).

Acceptance to the camp is based solely on meeting the eligibility criteria and space available. You will be notified with your child’s accepted camp date through email. All campers are expected to attend the camp for the full duration in order to have the best possible experience for all campers.

Camp Triumph is 100% Free

A Camp Triumph experience costs more than $700 per camper ($850 for Leadership Campers). With just one full-time employee and one full-time volunteer, our small staff works throughout the off-season applying for grants, hosting fundraisers, and organizing campaigns to ensure all qualifying campers can attend for free; a cornerstone of Camp Triumph of which we are very proud. With no significant government funding or major sponsors, our capacity is determined by donations and fundraising dollars that we work hard to secure for our often un-recognized population of campers. As a registered charity, we welcome and encourage donations of any denomination.

On our application, you have the option to donate online to hold your campers spot, or mail a cheque that will be held (not cashed) until your camper arrives at camp.

PLEASE NOTE: we cannot process your camper's application and place them in a camp session until we receive the physical cheque in the mail.

If we are unable to accept your child, we will return any money that may have been donated.

You also have the option to pay the full amount if desired.
