Awesome pictures but not big enough for my desktop. At home I run twin monitors at 2560 X 1024. At work I run twin Dell 24" monitors at 3840 X 1200.

Several of you have lamented the lack of the popular 1680x1050 size for the images above. This was a mistake in the labelling of the links, so 1680x1050 resolution is now back, by popular demand, sorry about the mess-up.

Great pics, mostly. I especially like the ones of the moon and earth. Just to let you know, though, the one entitled 'Industrial smog' is very misleading. The haze in the foreground of the picture might be real smog, but the power plant stacks are putting off water vapor, not smoke. NOx emissions combine with controlled ammonia to produce nitrogen and water, and especially on a cold morning you will see water vapor plumes like this.

In the "Industrial Smog" picture, which is cool, it looks more like steam coming out of multiple nuclear plant steam towers instead of smog. I wouldn't expect to see so many steam towers in one location though. Wonder if it's been photoshopped.
