About Club Mac

Club Mac was founded in August 1985. From the outset the Club provided an independent source of Mac-related information. A group that provided members with friendly advice, information, support and a high-quality Public Domain Software Library. It is a non-profit organisation operated by volunteers, independent from any distributor or reseller.Today the Club is an incorporated association with around 300 members throughout Australia and nearby countries.Club Mac Incorporated provides:

The Club Mac Helpline (02 9475 0448) provides assistance to members by answering those tricky questions. It is attended by expert members and uses the resources and knowledge of the power users on the BBS.

Club Mac provides access to System software prior to version 7.6, and the publically available updates to System software are also available.

The Club Mac Website provides members with a private electronic mail box, public message area and information service, and on-line help. You can log on via the Internet from anywhere in the world! Club Mac is part of the worldwide FidoNet and InterNet networks, so members can send and receive messages all around Australia and the world at no cost.Your e-mail address becomes:      firstnamelastname@clubmac.org.au

Members have access to electronic mail and message services. You need an Internet account with an ISP so you can access the website via the 'Net.

A personal password is necessary to make use of this service.
