Fig 1: foglights wiring diagram
Usually the aftermarket foglight kits come with wireharness and relay.
Basically following the wiring diagram will get your job done.
Fig 2: HID wiring diagram
Also, HID kits come with everything, wire harness and relay.
Fig 3: This is my HID kit by Philips. It has a black weather housing
to protect the ballast as well, a very good kit indeed
(pair of D2R bulbs
not shown)
Step 1: If you want to do a good job, removing the front bumper and
grill is a good idea.
Check out the article done by slvr-bullet (aka Steve) here .
Follow the step and remove the front grill. You just need to remove
4 more screws under the bumper,
green arrows on Fig 4, then the whole bumper can be removed.
For HID, remove the headlight housing as well. 4 bolts need to be removed
on each side.
Red circles on Fig 4

Step 2: Place the HID ballast, I put it inside the side fender
Fig 5: HID ballast
Step 3: Rung the wire, the best way is too follow the factory wire.
Fig 6: Wiring, white one is for foglights, big black one is factory,
and small black one is for HID
Step 4: Place the relays and make sure the relays won't get wet. Therefore
I put some grease and tape up to protect them.
Red Circle: HID relay, already greased and taped
Green Circle: Foglights relay, greasing up.

Step 5: Organize the wires, stable down the relays, Ground the wires

connector
Green line: HID and Foglight wires, following the factory wires
Red line: Foglight wire that goes through firewall and inside the car
for switch
Blue Arrow: factory ground point.
Fig 8: Wires Harness, relays, factory ground point
Step 6: Install a switch, I didn't use the switch that came with
the foglight kit. I bought another one from Radioshack. $5 :)
This switch will light up when turned on.
You need to hook up the switch with 3 wires. Ground, Power, and foglight
harness.
You don't need to fish all 3 wires through the firewall, only the wire
from foglight harness is needed.
You can hook up the ground wire on any metal surface inside the car.
And I got the power from fusebox (Fig 10 and 11)
Fig 9: The Switch
Step 7: Take the power from crank and hook it up with the switch (This
way, foglights will automatically turn off when engine is shutdown)
Fig 10: Fuse box at the driver side kick panel
Step 8: for HID, take out all the fuse that are not needed. and upgrade
the 10A fuse to 20A on No. 21(which is where my HID kit took power from)
The arrow on the following diagram indicates where you take power for the foglight switch.

Step 9: Mount your foglights, anywhere you want and hook up the wires
with foglights and +battery, test it.
Fig 12: Foglights are installed and bolt down to the frame of the car.
Step 10: Test and make sure everything works. Put everything back together,
bumper grill, headlights
