Cygnal Bioscience was founded in January 2013 and is based in Göteborg, Sweden. The goal is to provide consultation in chemical and biological research and project management. Personal contact, an engaged and creative collaboration and a broad contact network is the foundation for our business.

Cygnal Bioscience was founded by Lars Brive, Ph. D in chemistry, with 20 years of experience in chemistry, structure biology and bioinformatics at the Univerity of Gothenburg, The Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute and The Scripps Research Institute i Kalifornien, and AstraZeneca in Mölndal. Previous work includes the understanding of structure/function relationships for several different protein classes (e.g. G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs), kinases, nuclear receptors) using spectroscopic techniques and bioinformatics analysis, their interactions with other proteins or small molecules, database design and processing and analyzing large amounts of data. Well-experienced in Linux, UNIX, Mac, Python, ICM and unix shell scripting, Spotfire, Igor, and more.
