Brian Lagunas is a highly skilled and experienced software engineer with nearly 20 years of experience. He is a Microsoft MVP, a Microsoft Patterns & Practices Champion, and the creator of the Prism Library, the most popular framework for architecting and building XAML applications, which has over 45 million downloads. Brian is also the original creator of the Extended WPF Toolkit which has over 9 million downloads.

As a speaker, trainer, and author, Brian has earned a reputation as a leading expert in his field. He has spoken at a wide variety of events worldwide and is a sought-after consultant by top-level executives across many industries. Brian is known for his ability to simplify complex topics and make them accessible to developers of all levels. He’s an active member of the developer community, co-leading the Boise .Net Developers User Group (NETDUG) and serving on the board of Boise Code Camp, and running online communities via Discord. Currently, Brian is an engineering manager and oversees a team of 8 engineers to build an embedded data analytics SDK. Brian was given this new role to drive product innovation, product quality, product stability, streamline internal processes, and enhance the customer experience. Under his leadership, the product has improved in all aspects and has achieved record sales.
