Most photos, except those from space, were taken in the surroundings of the city of Umeå, Sweden. Many pictures of seabirds were photographed directly from our summer cottage lot, which is located 20 km towards south, in Sörböle (Lillsand).

​

I'm using a Canon EOS 7D MK II with the lenses EF 100-400/4.5-5.6 L IS USM II and EF 100/2.8 Macro USM. For Star Trails the IRIX 15/2.4 lens with an Astronomik CLS-CCD filter was used. For details of the Moon a SkyWatcher Explorer 200PDS reflector telescope on a HEQ5 PRO mount was utilized. Water drops were generated with the MIOPS Splash.

Pictures of the Sun were taken with a SkyWatcher 72ED refractor telescope on a SolarQuest mount. It was equipped wih a QUARK H-alfa filter and a ZWO ASI174MM high-speed CMOS camera. Pictures of Nebulae and Galaxies were taken using remotely controlled telescopes in Australia, Spain and USA.
