Samsung HM5000 Bluetooth Handset

Anyone who owns a Samsung Galaxy Note II or is opting to buy a Note 8 and user it as a phone, you might be looking for a Bluetooth headset to make calls from. You can also buy a Bluetooth handset like this.

The Samsung Slim Stick Bluetooth Headset HM5000 is really a handset that you can use to make and receive calls from the same way you would a headset, but you can just use it like a phone and not have it attached to your head. With a pen clip, you can put it in your pocket or clip it to just about anywhere that you can get it to stick.

For some time now I have been looking for a handset that wasn't ridiculous like the rotary style ones you can pick up at any store now for $5.  Hours of scouring the internet in auction sites and foreign factory sites till I stumble on this little guy. For around $30-80 CAD you can be ensured to have a great build, sound and connectivity quality.

Talk time is about 8 hours solid, 200 hours of standby time and it only takes about 2 hours to fully charge. It has a range of up to 33ft so you can have this in your pocket while meandering about your house and staying connected.

On some phones you should be able to dial by voice, but I have yet to figure it out, much like all other bluetooth headsets I have owned. Take a look at the video and decide for yourself if you would rather hold a "Phablet" to your head or a pen-sized receiver.

  1. Slick. Not probably usable in the car but I like it for use at home.
I hate putting my phone up to my face
