The flight will be routed only through airway segments which have vertical limits compatible with the specified altitude range (in other words, the resulting flight plan will not include airway segments which can't be flown at the requested cruise altitude range).
Usually the altitude range is reduced to a single flight level (e.g.: FL330 to FL330).
