File Transfer Using PCAnywhere

If you are using PCAnywhere to remotely manage Varilink you may want to download your acquisition files to your local computer for viewing.  Following are instructions for this.

Connect the to the remote computer with PCAnywhere like you normally do for a remote control session.  After you are connected and the screen has loaded start the file transfer utility from the PCAnywhere toolbar.  This will bring up the window shown below.

The left pane of this window shows the files on your local computer, the right pane the files on the remote computer.  Navigate the left pane to the location you would like to store the downloaded acquisition files. 

Next navigate the right pane to the location where Varilink is installed.  Caution there are many files in this folder besides the acquisition files.  Do Not change or delete these files.  These are the Varilink program files and if they are changed the Varilink program will not operate properly.

Select the .acq files you want to transfer by clicking on them.  (Note, you can select multiple files by holding down the Ctrl key when you click them)  After you have selected all the files you want to transfer you can begin the transfer by clicking the transfer button button between the two panes of the tranfer window.

During the file transfer a status window will be displayed showing the progress and time remaining.  When the transfer is completed you can close the File Transfer windows and end the remote session.
