I want to raise enough money to buy a nano iPod but many places you have to be 16 to work at. My friend told me that to work at McDonalds you can be 14(my current age) Does anyone know if this is true?
P.S-I know there food is the worst for you but I'm working there for the money.

I'd advise you to hold of on getting a job until you are 16, though. Jobs pretty much take up the better part of your free time, and you've got your whole life to go to work. Enjoy the free time while you can get it. [ devilspawn_666's advice column | Ask devilspawn_666 A Question ]
myusername1 answered Friday November 11 2005, 8:31 pm: no i think you must be 16 to work at a public place because its against the law to hire someone underaged sry but there are some small local businesses that will hire 14 yr olds good luck [ myusername1's advice column | Ask myusername1 A Question ]

morbidministry13 answered Friday November 11 2005, 6:37 pm: It depends where it is some places you need to be 16 but I think here the age is 14 your best bet is just to ask for a job aplication and the'll tell you how old you have to be

lunaladyoflight answered Friday November 11 2005, 5:16 pm: If the age is 14 (I think it varies by state), you need a special work release to work there. You'll have to go to your local Secretary of State branch to recieve one. Good luck working, however, don't pile too much onto yourself. Make sure you give yourself time to be your own age. :)
