The mill has been restored to a very high standard by professional millwrights, JHE Ltd, and by a group of dedicated volunteers. Particular attention has been paid to restoring the mill as authentically as possible, by re-instating original features that were lost in previous restorations. Key elements of the restoration that have been completed so far include:

Repairing the primary structural timbers of the mill body including the side girts and corner posts

Repairing the crosstrees which form part of the trestle which supports the mill

Repairing the roundhouse roof, floor and walls

Repairing the mill roof

Installing new weatherboarding, hatches and windows

Painting the mill

Installing new steps

Installing a new tailpole

Installing new sweeps, complete with striking gear and some shutters

Installing new electrics and lighting in the roundhouse

Installing a new lightning conductor system on the mill
