Jag arbetar med konst i skärningspunkten mellan text och bild. Framför allt är det med vattenbaserade medier jag undersöker relationen mellan språk, bild, dröm, seende, förståelsen och icke-förståelsen i det mellanmänskliga kommunikationsdramat.Ofta styrs arbetet av regler som har med det minituösa att göra; bilden målas sakta fram med akvarell och tusch runt de ihåligt tecknade bokstäver som utgör målningens ”varp”.
Jag jobbar också med skisser utan text, intuitivt målade akvareller som förhåller sig till språket som tysta översättningar av stum natur och mörka håligheter, ett slags naturens översättning.
Vad är det som är akut i teckningarna och det de vill försöka få fram? Blir allt bara försök till översättningar av mening? Var landar man när språket slår kullerbyttor och faller tomt ner?
My work moves in the crossing between text and image. I work with water-based media through which I explore the relation between language, image, dream, seeing, the understanding and non-understanding in the human communication drama. The work is often governed by rules concerned by the meticulous; the image is slowly developing with watercolor and ink around the hollow letters who make up the “warp” of the painting.
I also work with sketches and drawings without text, intuitively painted watercolors who relate to language like silent translations of mute nature and dark cavities, a sort of nature´s translations.
What is acute in the drawings and what they are trying to communicate? Is everything just attempts to to translations of meaning? Where do we end up when language stumble and fall down empty?
